My friend EB2 is all ONE category. Please see the OR in that sentence.

Its sad but its going to apply for all EB2 applicants.

No, it does not even do that. it does not let FOIA donors logon too.
First, the whole concept of donor based organisation is so stupid.
I mean really stupid.
If the donor based thing is ON, the future of IV is not good.
Yeah, IV does good work by talking to people all around, from different stratas of lawmaking and what not.
but get real, look around guys, information is everywhere, not only here. and you are working for the greater good of the community, only donors are not going to be benefitting from this.
Instead of making donor based posts, have a FOIA kinda drive every now and then.

If you are talking about great good of the legal immigration community then you should try to contribute a bare minimum but NO ONE HERE IS FORCING YOU TO CONTRIBUTE, it is just that you will not have access that particular forum. It is America, You don't get free meals everyday.

I wonder what will happen with our cases. My husband has a PD Oct 2003, EB2 ROW, but thanks to PBEC, it got approved in Jan 2007. Our RD is March 2007, TSC, concurrent. Got AP in April and EAD in May. No LUD on 485 after FP, 04/25/2007.
One more question: How many wives are here? It looks like some guys would rather let this matter to the ladies to handle.:D

We all are in this country by our free will..One has the option of walking away any time one wants. Civil disobidience is a tool of the citizens..In my opinions we would get more negative publicity if we go around picketing..First of all all of us are above the average income of a standard working class American family. The majority of the american people are just going to laugh at this. The rest would be hostile. The illegals marched in the streets and that just increased the resolve of the anti-immigrants. With all due respect to the selfless hard work of IV core, I concur with ItIsNotFunny. There are many members who feel this way. IV core should be more open to members. I feel a cloud of secrecy always surrounding IV. Of course they cannot be public about all their activities, but more needs to be done on this front. You will see more members actively participating if core is more open.
I totally agree to this. Everytime i try to bring this point across all that is being asked is go contribue some money. I have contributed money before and i will contribute lot more if i know what it is getting used for.
There are several of my friends who are not actively looking at IV site. I am sure they will contribute money if they know the initiative IV is currently working on.

Great find, Andy. Based on your explanation, I can say that our real problem is not the lack of visa numbers. There are enough visa numbers, but USCIS is not utilizing them.
This also tells me that an increase in visa numbers to 290,000 (or what ever number that the SKILL bill is asking for) would NOT change the situation a little bit. The end result only will be that the USCIS will end up with more number of unused visas.
Can the IV community do some thing to improve the whole situation?

Remember that this system was designed back when there was one single queue.
You applied for your Labor and waited(establish a PD), everybody who applied after you was behind you.
After the Labor was approved, you applied for the I-140. This will determine your category/country of chargeability and will filter some of the fraud cases
After the I-140 was granted. You apply for either CP or AOS. At this point CIS/DOS knew how many applications were pending for each category/country and could move the dates smoothly.
Now the mess is so big that it takes them until February(6 months after the End of the previous Fiscal Year) to publish the number of visas issued

I have a suggestion! I don't think forcing monthly $25 contribution to keep donor status alive is a very good idea, especially in current economy. Take an example of myself. It is decided that I am going to loose job on 17th March, may not be able to contribute every month.

In which state you are? Did you call your senators , if yes please put the name of state and senators name here..so I can match with my list and tell you that whether I called them or not.

Last year:
Mar 2008- India Eb2 U
Apr 2008- India-Eb2 01 Dec 03
This year may be:
Mar 2009- India Eb2 15 Feb 04
Apr 2009- India Eb2 28 Feb 05 (My PD :))
As per March 2009 visa bulletin EB2-China is already 15 Feb 05.
If USCIS repeats last year's pattern of spill over from April then both EB2 China and India move together.
As they move China's dates they need to move India's dates(both share the spill over as retrogressed countries).
Keep guessing on EB2-China's forward movement and most likely would be the same for EB2-India :)

As much as I appreciate the efforts that the IV core team has put in, them being so secretive, it is almost like they have formed a cabal.

My wife is still waiting for the AP. The receipt notice gives August 6 as the receipt date. She called USCIS last Tuesday and was told that USCIS is running really slow and is taking 180 days to process APs. The lady she spoke to asked my wife to call back after "it is 180 days past her notice date". Her 180 days will complete on February 6. We have postponed out travel plans several times.
