My prayers be with IV. Though I cant attend, I would want to make a contribution of $200 for the rally. Can somebody let me know an easy way to make this payment please? I dont have a paypal, googlr acct.

I fully support a donor-based forum too. I support the concept as put forth by IV Core.

I am out of state visa screened nurse after having a hard time passing the cgfns and other reqirment my sponser has filed me I-140 on 31th april 2007, I dont know why but they didnt give me the center name in which they file the petition, or recipt no., my questions are:
how long will it take to recieve the GC?
do you think the condition will improve for RNs in the future?
how can I find my case number without asking my sponser?

Well, you could still try and apply in EB2, as you mentioned earning a master's degree.
I am one of those who came in 98 on F1 and went through 3 different GC processes (all EB2) to finally see the CPO email now. No regrets though, as I changed employers a few times (resulting in dropping the first two GC processes) to achieve growth (higher salaries, actually).

So I wonder....should the dream act come through....could it work in my favor too lol? I came through no choice of my own (though legally) with my parents....

And people here are scolding and ranting against the program, not "loophole". But why even fight against the so-called loopholes? Don't we have anything better to do? Visa recapture is a much more worthy goal
And BTW, a 30k salary doesn't matter for executives. Jerry Yang works for $1 a year, so does it mean he is not eligible? And what about the executives working for free for a noble cause? Not everyone is money-minded, and they may choose their goals and priorities

Clarification - i meant Senior Member based on seniority on this Site and not based on age :). This idea has been brain stormed many times in the past and ruled out by many as it is not in our best interests and also not workable. Members who have been visting this site for some time would know and hence the comment about Seniority :)

Hi All,
I just contacted the USCIS customer service regarding my pending AP application filed at NSC on July 24th, 2007. The customer service rep did not provide any useful information other than the usual "case received and pending".
However he did open a service request (SR) for me and advised me that IO will get back to me on the status of my AP application within 30 days and why its getting too long to adjudicate my AP application.
Do any of you have any experience what will happen from now on? Do they really respond within 30 days???
Below is my filing info
Filed I-485/EAD/AP - July 24th, 2007 - NSC
I-140 approved - Dec 2006
EAD received - Oct, 07
FP done
AP - Pending

Just wanted to let you know that I received my refund yesterday. My wife and I filed a joint return. We both have SSN's. Just relax folks if you filed your taxes you will receive the refund. I had hoped the money could have been put to better use but oh well the politicians know better.

Hi all .. I am not writing this post to disagree with any one on any thing. I am very respectful of the members who participate this forum and write their suggestions/comments/ideas... Specially when I know people who are facing the same problem but do not make any efforts to solve it or join IV.
In the same lines .. my opinion , we probably need more followers and implementers who can direct IV core suggested plans.
Actively participating the Forum and visiting the web site regulary is one of the actions called for from Pappu (IV Core), you are all doing, I did that. There are other action items that need be implemented by who ever has ability, time and can direct others.
BOTTOM LINE, YOU FOLKS BRING UP INTERESTING IDEAS AND DEBATE TO THE FORUM .. PLEASE KEEP IT UP.
