Guys, I need ur suggestion and experiences on my typical situation
I am in the process of going full time with my client.
I have my I-485 Filed in July 2007 & have EAD & AP
I am not in a position to use EAD as I got married after I filed for I-485. I have to stay on H1B to maintain my wife's H4 status.
my Client's Attorney is filing for H1B transfer and is suggesting that I can use EAD to start working as soon as he files for H1B transfer.
My understanding is I will loose H1 status if I use EAD, hence H4 will be invalid.
Was anybody in a similar situation ?
I don't want to take a risk by using EAD and my wife loosing H4 status.
Please advice

I have been in the US for a couple of years working on an E-1 Visa. I am now filing my I-765 because my Visa is tied to me working for a particular company and is not transferable. I have a social security card.
I am now not sure if I should fill this out as if I am applying for a or b:
A) Permission to accept employment
B) Replacement (of lost employment authorization document)
C) Renewal of my permission to accept employment (attach previous employment authorization document). Form I-76
If it is C, should I attach a copy of my E-1 Visa and my Social Security card or something else?
Also, for question 11 (Have you ever before applied for employment authorization from USCIS)? I don't think I have. I think my E-1 Visa came with this right and that I only dealt with the social security office.
Please help if you know the answer

Every Tuesday, USCIS releases its data on the pace of usage of H-1B numbers. I'm monitoring that usage and projecting the end date for H-1B numbers. It's not complicated science, but I'm basically using a rolling average of the prior four weeks of H-1B usage to minimize the anomolies of one particular week and then assuming that usage over the prior month will continue at roughly the same pace. If usage picks up, the exhaustion date will be revised to be sooner and vice versa if usage declines. We actually saw a decline from prior weeks with 800 H-1B applications...

One of my friend's I-485 with priority date of Jan 2006 got approved yesterday. They have posted the documents to USCIS for his wife early this month(as per his attorney) to link to his I-485, but the check was not cashed yet and receipt notice was not issued for his wife.
Will there be any issue in this regard? What will be the options for him just in case if the attorney has not sent the documents to USCIS for his wife or the documents get rejected for some reason? Any help/advice in this regard is really appreciated. Thanks.
