I am in EB3 with Labor and I-140 approved, I-485 in process, and have EAD/AP. If I switch employers and take up a new role (different from the one GC application is based on), and not file AC21 (because that's not applicable when switching job roles), should I continue to stay mum hoping to not receive a RFE for EVL and get a GC by mail silently someday or request new employer to file a new EB2 perm and preserve the old (2002) priority date?
In case I go with the former, and end up receiving a RFE, can I explain my true status and go for the latter at that point? What are the chances that one will receive an RFE for Employment verification for a case that has been pending for 7 years, and I-485 pending for 3 years?
Any personal experiences and guidance will greatly help me. Thank you!

The US Chamber of Commerce is seeking a review by the nation's highest court of the Arizona law that calls for the revocation of business licenses for employers found to have knowingly hired illegally present immigrants and also mandates all employers in the state use E-Verify. The case could settle the basic question of what authority a state or local government has in regulating immigration.

While there are some politicians genuinely concerned about the subject of immigration who are backing anti-immigration laws because they believe in the cause, there are many more who have jumped on the anti-immigration bandwagon to score political points (John McCain - I'm talking to you). Hello everyone, My husband whose PD is Oct 2006 EB2 got his email today...
On March 24, 2010 we mailed the document to the address we have on file. You should receive the new document within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.
I have two questions...
1) How is it possible to get GC out of turn.........?
2) We moved to a new house n updated the address, but for some reason it was not correct. The system(also the customer service) wont let me update till 45 days have passed. Now the document will come to the wrong address? What do i do?

Hi,
Please advice on my situation.
1)I was on L1 and applied for change of status from L1 to h4.once this was approved(I just saw the approval had not recieved any docs) i had to traval to India becos of my health.
2)while in India i gt 2 know that my H1 gt approved in may end (I797 A with new I-94).
as planned i came back with h4 stamped.
does this effect my h1 which valid from 1 oct 2010 in any way as I am currenly on h4 and plz advice what needs to be done to work from 1 oct

I have married my wife last friday. we have been living together for almost two years and own a home together for 6 months. I have been in the stats on A2 visa up until now (3.5 years). I have the doctor's letter on hand and I want to apply for my adjustment of status by early next week. I was told that I will ( MUST LIKELY) receive my I-131 travel document approved in no earlier than 3 months from the time of filling. I have bought tickets to go with my wife to New-Zealand for our best friends wedding on november 5th which means I won't have the travel document on hand in time.

Hello,
I 'm on H1-B visa already max out and got the extension for 7 th year based on perm pending.
Petition is going to expire in Sep 2011 and last week my perm got denied.
My employer is going to appeal for the perm and also going to apply H1B extension.
Also I got an offer from other employer waited long time for this exiting offer. Not sure what are my options now , is it possible to take the new opportunity or should I stick with my current employer to deal with this issue?
Looking for suggestions ASAP , thanks

Are you legally in US i.e. can you travel in and out of US?
If not, then this forum may not be of use to you as the forum exlcusively addresses the issues surrounding legal immigration
Are you authorized to work in US i.e. do you have a social security number that is valid for employment
If yes, then you should report the abusing woman to police. If not, then you maybe in viloation of US employment and immigration laws
